8th Master Craftsman Forum of the VDG Academy at Fritz Winter
On September 11 and 12, the 8th Master Craftsmen's Forum of the Academy of the Association of German Foundries took place at our training center with over 20 participants. After a company presentation, the morning was spent directly on the practical side in the form of a factory tour. In the afternoon, there were two presentations by Fritz Winter experts at the participants' conference hotel. With the topics "Decarbonization. Replacing cupola furnaces with electric melting furnaces" and "ecoCasting. Sustainable casting process for truck applications", the presentations underlined our drive as a sustainable iron foundry to achieve CO2-neutral production by 2045. The day was rounded off with a foundry evening for networking and professional exchange.
The next specialist event will take place on 21 & 22 November with the topic "Energy efficiency in iron foundries - the key to decarbonization".
